Imagination Library of Washington is on a quest to raise $2 million to keep books coming to the children enrolled in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Every gift makes a BIG impact! A donation of just $31 will provide an entire YEAR of books for a child! 

It comes as no secret that the Imagination Library of Washington is near and dear to my heart. I'm honored to serve with the team that started this statewide program, expanding access to this life-changing, powerful early literacy program for children from birth to age five. The simple act of mailing a high-quality, age-appropriate book to a child every month at no cost ignites their imagination and fosters a lifelong love of reading and learning, Dolly Parton's dream for her program. "You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children," as Dolly often says. 

Currently serving 120,000 early learners across the state, Imagination Library of Washington now faces a significant challenge after losing vital funding in the recent legislative session — funding that provides 50% of the support needed to cover the cost of books and mailing. In order to keep this proven, impactful literacy program alive for our state's youngest learners, we need the public's help. While families never pay for the books their children receive, the gift of reading isn’t free to provide. Each book a child receives is $2.60.
