Lily & Spruce online children’s clothing boutique owner, Laura Soldano, has a mission that places children in the center of her work; ‘Celebrating our creative, wild, and curious kids’. They support and encourage individuality and self-expression in children with thoughtfully designed, organic garments that inspire big ideas, and are the perfect level of comfy-cozy for squirming, moving, exploring, and growing.
Soldano founded Lily & Spruce in 2022 after many months of research attempting to find the highest quality, coziest children’s clothing for her son. Finding out that the industry was lacking transparency, patterns and colors and fit a very limited aesthetic, and weren’t designed for the comfort of a growing baby, she set out on a mission to design and hand-sew garments that used the highest quality fabrics and stood the test of their busy and active lifestyle.
Giving back to their local community is an important pillar for Lily & Spruce--it's one of the most important things they do with their business. In a newly established partnership with Imagination Library of Washington, Lily & Spruce will be donating 2% of sales to help more young children receive free books in the mail from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Inspired by her son’s experience being enrolled in the Imagination Library since he was a baby, Soldano is passionate about bringing this magical book experience to other children and is thrilled to support them in this special way.
"We are so excited about this amazing new partnership with the Imagination Library of Washington in furtherance of our mission to inspire children's imagination and creativity at an early age. As a mom whose child is enrolled in this amazing program and gets to see the joy each new book delivery brings my son, this partnership brings an incredible opportunity to use our small business to give back and share a love of reading with other children all across Washington state!” Soldano expressed.
